Ron Manley

I  was born in Southampton, Hampshire in 1952 and only started to paint in December 1999

I am completely self taught and enjoy what happens when you apply paint to canvas and finally produce a painting that is not only pleasing to me, but also to all the customers that have purchased them. To them a big thank you.

I try to gain all the knowledge I can from, making mistakes, other artist’s work, books and discussions with my artist friends, I am constantly trying  to improve the work I produce, and experimenting with new styles, I am striving to create a look (and feel) all of my own. As an artist I feel you do tend to look at the world in a different light.

Having travelled extensively around the world, firstly with the Merchant Navy and then with the Royal Marines, I have almost always been close to the sea. It is a great asset to now be living in the beautiful coastal village of Llangrannog (web cam) here, close to the beach and the wonderful Welsh countryside, which has now become a great inspiration in my work.
